The Global Data Dictionary

The GS1 Global Data Dictionary (GDD) serves as a core components repository to support standards development and implementation within the GS1 System.

When implementing solutions utilizing the GS1 Business Message and XML Standard Schemas, the data dictionary should be consulted to understand the definition of the various components, what values they may contain, and the basic definitions and representation terms in user-friendly business terms.

The GDD is ebXML compliant.
